Obituary for Tamela Susan "Tammy" Mauldin

It is with broken hearts but encouraging hope we announce the perfect healing of Tammy Mauldin, our loving mother and devoted friend to all whose lives she touched, on March 1, 2019.

Born on February 6, 1962 to Max and Virginia Mauldin in Rome, Georgia. Tammy was a dedicated mother who deeply loved her family and instilled in her sons strong values that will continue to serve them well. She especially loved her role as Guga to her three precious grandchildren. To know Tammy was to love her. Her vivacious personality quickly captured the hearts of everyone around her. Her life was a living example of Christ’s love for us. She had a servant’s heart and devoted her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Tammy is survived by her sons, Wes (Kati) Abernathy and Ty (Joanna) Abernathy; her grandchildren, Hallie, Amelia, and Liam; her parents, Max and Virginia Mauldin; brothers, Jeff (Jan) Mauldin and Derick (Missy) Mauldin; one sister, Dana (Jim) Bruce; many nieces and nephews; and more friends than she could count.

Flowers will be accepted, but those who choose, may make donations in her name to Tammy’s beloved church, Euharlee Baptist.

A celebration of her life will be held at Euharlee Baptist Church on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2 p.m., with Mr. Steven Davis and Reverend Doug Harris Officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Cody Mauldin, Chase Mauldin, Bradley Gentry, Josh Bruce, Jeff Baxter, and Shane McPherson.
