Obituary for Raymond Hester
Mr. Raymond Hester, 82, of Cartersville, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Maple Ridge Health Care Center.
He was born in Dalton, Georgia on August 13, 1936 to the late Oscar Hester and Pearl Shields Hester. Mr. Hester was retired from the City of Acworth in the Maintenance department. He was a genuine person and had many occupations in his life. He loved his family and friends and always made time for people. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mamie Sue Hammonds.
Survivors include his sons, Keith Hester (Amy) of Cartersville, Kevin Hester (Andria) of Ringgold; his grandchildren, Brittany Hester, Josh Hester, Austin Hester, Summer Faber, and Amylia Grace Kelley; 3 great-grandchildren, Andalin Hester, Ethan Faber and Aubrey Cook; his sister, Mary Cunningham of Newnan; and his brother Bill Hester.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
