Mrs. Peggy Adams Ponder, 66 of Cartersville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 1, 2018, with her husband by her side. Born April 4, 1952 in Rome, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Alton Adams and Pauline Queen Adams.
Mrs. Ponder was of the Baptist faith and was a Para Pro for the Bartow County School System. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Paula Adams; and her brother Douglas Adams.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Marshall “Monk” Ponder; her son, Joseph “Joe” Ponder (Mandy); her stepchildren, Brad Ponder, Michelle Bingham, Susan Ponder; her sisters, Carolyn Davidson, Janice Couch; special niece, Tiffany Ponder Brown; special cousin, Pat Gauntt; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
