Obituary for Martha Ferguson

Martha Annelle Bramblett Ferguson, 75 of Cartersville passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Cartersville on June 29, 1943 she was the daughter of the late John Talmadge Bramblett and the late Sudie Ann Howell Bramblett. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Jo King.

Martha was a member of Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church and worked for Bartow County School System for nineteen years as a food service assistant. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family and friends and making robes and costumes for church programs.

Martha’s family was the light of her life and her survivors include her husband, William Hansel “Happy” Ferguson whom she married on December 23, 1960; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Ann Ferguson Matthews and Ricky, and Tammy Lane Ferguson Evans and Calvin; her grandchildren, Ashton Evans Willingham and Earl, Chantell Matthews, and Jeremy Matthews and Jennifer all of Cartersville; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Joyce Bramblett of Adairsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Charles Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Matthews, Earl Willingham, Johnny McCollum, Joey McCollum, Danny Silvers, and Mikey Walls. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Wilson Matthews, and Jerry Bearden.
