Obituary

James Wayne Carr, 62, of Cartersville died on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his residence.

Born on June 12, 1956 he was the son of the late Pete Carr and the late Mary Lyons Carr. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Pope; and his brother, Allan Carr.

James was of the Baptist faith and a member of Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family lake home. He cherished the friendships that he made through the years and held them dear to his heart.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Carr of Cartersville; daughters, Jennifer Carr of Acworth, and Tashia Smith of Cartersville; special son, Cody Bailey (Lanae) of Adairsville; grandsons, Chase Ashworth, Dillon Carr, and Sam Smith; and special dear friend, Larry Todd Adcock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Donnie Summey officiating. A private interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the funeral home.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences. It is never easy when someone we love dies. We feel as if we can never recover, and we will always be stuck in this dark, depressing place, but the Bible can help us. How? It tells us that God wants to help us through the trials we face. Isaiah 41:10 says "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." So God will pull us out of the trials with his right hand of righteousness. This is a very encouraging verse, isn't it? There are so many more verses like this that are very encouraging. If you would like to hear more, please write me back, or visit JW.org.

Oh daddy where do I even begin. I'm lost, my soul has been emptied for it's last time now. You have always always always wanted me to be strong and I'm trying. Mom & I are trying to be strong for each other & Cody is being the rock that he is. I don't know what we are gonna do without you, however I PROMISE YOU, I will live each day with no regrets, keep pushing forward, and continue your legacy. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
